Fall has now officially arrived.  And of course you can feel it in the air.  From a government standpoint, it will become official next Sunday morning as we set our clocks back one hour.  But fall is officially here—the World Series of Major League Baseball begins two days from now (more…)

Just some early morning thoughts from me to you…

I don’t know if the cold weather has brought me back to my senses, or whether it’s the painful realization that I can’t scrub the slime from Friday night off my body and from my mind.  I knew better than to go.  We hadn’t attended in nearly ten years. (more…)

“Time out!”  The memory is still as vivid today as when it occurred.  Our ace pitcher—“One-eyed Jack”—was pitching a no-hitter for us in the United States Air Force fast-pitch softball base championships.  (more…)

When he retired after a successful engineering career, he could have chosen to do most anything he wanted to do.  He chose to be homeless. (more…)
