It had been quite some time since I had seen the movie, Mary Poppins, but there I sat one Saturday not too long ago with my two Granddaughters, Hannah and Ellie Kate, engrossed in the music and characters of that classic movie, parading before us on the television screen at “Mimi’s House.” That’s what they call our home—Mimi’s House—even though I live there too. Legacy—Day by Day

Just some early morning thoughts from me to you…

Jesus replied:

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.

And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

It was a sunny morning much like today. He had awakened early as he did every day of his life. This morning, though, instead of heading to the nursery or the pasture, the office or a meeting, as he did when he wasn’t on vacation, he walked a few blocks from our apartment to spend a few moments amongst the hallowed grounds of a centuries-old cemetery in Dover, Delaware which we had mentioned to him the night before. Purple Lady

Just some early morning thoughts from me to you…

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.

Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life…

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”

Proverbs 31

She wasn’t an answer to my prayer, because back then I didn’t pray for those kinds of things. Actually, back then, I didn’t pray for anything. I didn’t have that kind of relationship with God.

I’m just glad I wasn’t listening in on their conversation when God made His decision, and told my Bride-to-be about His decision over forty-five years ago. (more…)
